Election '08

Matt & I brought Madeline with us to the history-making voting process yesterday. We arrived at our site around 5:15pm and walked out at 5:20. (yes!)

I had heard nightmare stories from friends/family/the news all day long about horrific lines so we came equipped with a diaper bag full of things we ended up not needing.

This was the first time Matt has ever voted. I was so proud of him for having the want & care to register, to read up, to gain knowledge, to vote... and I'm so glad Madeline was with us to be a part of this huge occasion.

Lastly, I had to beg some foul woman at our voting site for my sticker. !!! And no, we did not go and get our free donuts!

such great heights.

photoshoot with adrienne. and the location of this shoot ranks up there for being one of the worst in my photography history. simply because, i am terrified of heights. one word comes to mind when i'm climbing up steep things/looking over ledges: Vertigo.
at one of the locations, we decided to traipse around on this old, no-longer-working railroad tracks. the only problem was that the railroad was already high up in the air and you could see through the planks/boards/tracks/whathaveyou. it made me dizzy and entirely way too scared. at one point, i tripped over something jutting out of the tracks and landed on top of a stake/large nail holding the boards together (hello, Tetnus!). my mom informed me that i'm due for a shot anyway? needless to say, i resorted to crawling on hands & knees the rest of our photographic journey.
Never again.

electric bones.

from a photoshoot with nicole. this photo kind of reminds me of a painting.
(texture by ghostbones).

staying relatively busy. my calendar is beginning to fill up with wedding dates (yay!) and i'm scheduling photo ops with friends, a few models, and some parents wanting fall pictures of their cuties.
madeline is growing like a weed. i feel like every time i take a new picture of her, something else is evolving into a "little girl". (where did my baby go?)
